Day 08 – Song That You Know All The Words To

蔡依林-特务J (Jolin Tsai – Agent J)

Jolin Tsai – Agent J

There are lots of songs that I know all the words to. Today I am going to introduce you “Agent J”.

The melody of the song is not that catchy, however the tempo and instrument makes it memorable. The Voice Jolin Tsai is strong and mature, which fits in the song very well.

The song itself is good, but what makes this song successful is the music video. The music video is actually a cutting of the first Episode of the music movie trilogy Jolin Tsai filmed for her album Agent J – the storyline of the movie is about a girl agent whose memories are totally removed and a sad journey she stepped on to find out her past.

The movie features Kim Jaewon, a Korean actor and model.

Here are the videos of the movie:

As a music movie, Agent J excels: the plot makes perfect sense – it’s actually very moving; the cutting of the scenes connect the story well, and the songs of the album are appropriately inserted as background music without incompatibility compared to many other music movies. It looks more like an actual movie than just a music movie.

*Note: Jolin Tsai is a famous Taiwanese singer and dancer. throughout her career she experienced tons of difficulties but her hard works eventually defeated these difficulties. One of the most significant one is her dance. When she just started singing, she’s horrible at dancing. Her choreographer teacher even told her that “Your arms and legs don’t listen to your brain at all. You can never be a good dancer.” Jolin kept practicing and practicing, and now she’s the best female dancing singer in Taiwan. She challenged gymnastics, gravity-less pole dancing, and she even mastered Fouettes Pirouette, the hardest movement in ballet within 30 days without learning ballet ever before.

Here where she shows off her Fouettes Pirouette.

Jolin is a great singer as well (even though in my opinion many of her songs covered her talent up). To know more about Jolin Tsai, click on the artist’s name.
